This is mono-Archive -JAPAN-.
Here’s a report from Tokyo.
The weather on the 28th was sunny with occasional clouds.
Even with some clouds, it was a hot day. It’s expected to get hot again starting tomorrow, with temperatures forecast to exceed 30°C (86°F).
Japan has four distinct seasons—spring, summer, autumn, and winter—all of which can be enjoyed.
From spring through summer, there is a period called the “rainy season” (tsuyu) when rainfall increases.
During this time, our bodies prepare to acclimate to the coming summer.
Currently, the Okinawa region has entered the rainy season, and it will gradually spread nationwide.
The rainy season before summer has finally arrived.
Additionally, Japan has established a new standard called “extreme heat days” (kokusyobi).
A day is classified as a “severe heat day” when the daily high temperature exceeds 40 degrees Celsius (104°F).
The fact that this standard has been established also implies that Japanese summers are becoming increasingly harsh.
In recent years, there have been many days in Japan when temperatures approach 40 degrees Celsius (104°F), making it unpleasant to go outside.
A large number of people are rushed to the hospital, so if you visit Japan, please make sure to stay hydrated and replenish your salt intake.
A Pokémon handkerchief towel is perfect for such hot days.
It is no longer available for purchase; this is a deadstock item.
It’s a pouch-style design, so the handkerchief part can be stored inside.
The pouch and the handkerchief are connected by a button, so you can use them separately as well.
Please consider this as a souvenir from Japan.
